Candy & Reno Land
Crossroads Hospice, Oklahoma City
Candy Land, and husband Reno, wanted to spend a romantic evening out for Candy’s Gift of a Day. To get started, Candy was escorted to the local mall for a shopping spree, courtesy of Crossroads Charitable Foundation. Both Candy and Reno were smartly outfitted for the occasion, including shoes and accessories. Then, Megan Story, a Crossroad’s volunteer and licensed cosmetologist, arranged for Candy to get a makeover at New Creations Salon. With her friends from Crossroads at her side, she spent the afternoon dedicated to beauty. The salon provided complimentary make up, manicure, and hairstyling services! Candy and Reno looked FABULOUS, darling.
They spent the evening in Bricktown, where they strolled along the beautifully lit canal; and enjoyed a spicy candlelight dinner for two, at Chelino’s Mexican restaurant, in a private dining room. (Candy’s favorite cuisine.) They topped the night off with a movie, and some Nestlé Sno-Caps! It was a really sweet night that will live in perpetuity with the framed photograph given to them by the Crossroads staff.
