The Ultimate Gift:
Crossroads Hospice, a Bridge for Life's Most Important Journey, is increasing the care level for patients receiving Hospice Care. While continuing the current traditional plans
of care for their patients, Crossroads Hospice is taking this definition and adding an indepth program to accentuate the quality of life that their patients have left.
Inspired by Jim Stovall's novel "The Ultimate Gift", Crossroads Hospice is taking the life lessons taught in this book and have put them into actual plans of care. The program includes:
- "Gift of a Day" Program
- "Gift of Blessings and Gratitude" Program
- Grief Recovery® Program
"Gift of a Day" program has been developed under the premise of certain questions and assessments completed by the staff of Crossroads Hospice. The basic question of "If you only had
one day to live, what would that day look like?" will, to the best of our ability, be fulfilled throughout the patients stay with Crossroads Hospice. As you can imagine, this is an enormous
undertaking, and could not be available without the support of wonderful volunteers and community effort.
"Gift of Blessings and Gratitude" program involves creating "life bridge" journals for our patients. These journals are being created for the patients to leave a legacy for their
family and loved ones. The journals are more of a history of patients' life that focuses on the patients' heritage, life treasures, memory notes, and most importantly, again inspired by
"The Ultimate Gift", blessings and gratitude.
Crossroads Hospice has recently trained and certified Bereavement Counselors in the Grief Recovery® Program. We are extremely proud of our professional staff, and excited to offer this
program to all persons in the areas of our service. We feel that as a gift to the communities we serve, we can help many others with their issues and grief recovery; not only those whose
loved ones have been served by Crossroads Hospice. Your gift is a wonderful way to remember a loved one.
