Hospice today is designed to provide a caring environment for physical, spiritual and emotional needs of the terminally ill, their family and friends in their home or nursing facility.

Unlike hospitals, the medical orientation of Crossroad’s Hospice personnel is toward symptom management and pain control.

Hope of remission or cure is never abandoned, but our focus is on creating an environment for the

patient and family that allows everyone to derive the greatest fulfillment from the remaining days the have to share with one another.

In accordance with the Hospice Philosophy, we recognize the rights of the terminally ill, specifically:

  • The right to compassionate and confidential care.
  • The right to enjoy the greatest possible quality of life.
  • The right to die with dignity, as he or she perceives dignity.
  • The right to participate in the management of the remaining life span.
  • The right to die in familiar surroundings without pain and with loved ones present.
