    And the Survey Says…

    Upcoming Improvements for You

We recognize that effective communication is vital for a thriving work environment. In response to your survey feedback, we’re creating new communication tools and strategies to foster better information-sharing and clarity across Crossroads and create a more efficient and collaborative workplace for all.

    EvenMORE For You

EvenMORE For You text messages are one way we’re improving communication. In each issue, we’ll highlight free benefits available to you and spotlight ways we’re working to improve your work-life balance. Our goal is to create a workplace where you feel valued, supported and motivated, leading to increased job satisfaction and overall productivity.

    Orientation & Onboarding

A new orientation and onboarding program will begin this fall. Your survey feedback indicated that a well-structured onboarding program is vital to ensuring that new team members feel welcome, supported and equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to thrive in their roles.

    New Training: Staffing Model

An increased focus on training and professional development is another way we’re making improvements. We’re beginning with training sessions about Crossroads’ acuity-based care model. Training sessions are being led by Heather Slone, Danny Cox, and Perry Farmer to help you better understand our staffing model and how to use it to your site’s advantage. The first session took place in Cincinnati with plans to roll it out, at each site, over the next two months.

    Paperwork

In our survey, you also shared that our current paperwork processes negatively impact productivity. Because of this, we recently updated our admission packet. Our goal is to continue streamlining procedures through reduced paperwork and digital solutions through Curantis.

Your feedback is an integral part of our improvement efforts, and we appreciate your insights. If you have additional suggestions, please feel free to use the feedback form at the bottom of each issue of EvenMORE for You.

    Asking Yourself What You Want

In the last two weeks, we learned about Elise's struggles between pursuing silent aspirations and fitting into her job. It's a struggle everyone shares. From CEOs to the front line, we all can get stuck between formal obligations and fulfilling our potential.

Is this the best life can offer? Why do most people feel like a hamster on the hedonic wheel?

    Asking Yourself What You Want

In the last two weeks, we learned about Elise's struggles between pursuing silent aspirations and fitting into her job. It's a struggle everyone shares. From CEOs to the front line, we all can get stuck between formal obligations and fulfilling our potential.

Is this the best life can offer? Why do most people feel like a hamster on the hedonic wheel?

As Elise learned, the answer to these questions isn't in the answers. Answers only show us our response to yesterday. But yesterday's answers are tomorrow's prisons. Elise found herself in prison, one she created with the company, something that neither wants. Freedom isn't found in answers but in questions. Questions get us on our journey.

Instead of possibly ending up in another cage, Elise decided to work her way free by asking what she wanted.

During her struggle, Elise learned that she often felt something was wrong with her thoughts or how she felt or that she just needed to find the right place. When we invest in continually seeking a valid code, we will forever search; because passwords constantly change.

I often tell people I coach that while we live in a world that wishes for a magic pill for a quick change, you aren't a disease but a living process. You already know what you want and how to live; it's just hidden beneath frustration and rationale. We just need the right questions to dig them up.

Elise could unearth the voice in her soul, not by looking for answers, but by asking more significant questions of herself. Sure, you'll feel tension, but if we don't stretch, if the risk isn't taken, life's meaning is violated.

Hospice professionals often say, "We have one precious life to live." They've seen people reminisce and attempt to resolve relationships in the face of death, hoping their lives had some meaning. Yet, every day, we all have a life abundant in choices you can work with and create something interesting for you.

Learn How to Save on Expenses Like Child Care and Adult Daycare.

As part of our commitment to supporting the well-being of our employees and their families, we are pleased to offer a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, a vehicle you can use to save on the cost of caring for your young children or aging parents while you work.

So, what is a Dependent Care FSA?

It's a pre-tax savings account that enables you to set aside a portion of your income to cover eligible dependent care expenses for your young children, a disabled spouse, aging parents, or other qualifying dependents.

    How does it work?

Contributions to the Dependent Care FSA are deducted from your paycheck before taxes are applied, reducing your taxable income and ultimately lowering your overall tax liability. This means you can save on income taxes while ensuring your loved ones receive the care they deserve.

Eligible expenses include daycare and after-school programs for children and adult daycare programs for seniors. It is federally capped at $5,000 per year per couple and it's important to note that funds you contribute do not roll over to the next calendar year. You do not need to participate in Crossroads’ medical insurance program to be eligible.

    How can you sign up?

Enrolling is easy and can be done during our annual open enrollment period.

We believe that a happy and thriving workforce starts with a supportive work environment. The Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account is just one of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to your well-being and we're delighted to offer this valuable resource to help you along the way.
