CANADIAN COUNTY, Okla. — The Canadian County Sheriff's Office was able to make a hospice patient's day, granting him his wish of a ride-along with a deputy.
Crossroads Hospice contacted the Canadian County Sheriff's Office to see if deputies could grant a wish for a patient. The patient, identified as Mr. Shipp, wanted to spend some time with a deputy and take a ride in his patrol unit.
On Tuesday, the Canadian County Sheriff's Office fulfilled Shipp's wish. Lt. Jason Glass gave Shipp a sheriff's office hat and a ride in his patrol unit.
"Mr. Shipp was ecstatic," Sheriff's Office officials posted to Facebook.
