Hospice patient goes for ride on Harley-Davidson

KMBC

A hospice patient received his wish Tuesday.

Pat Tierney got to ride a Harley-Davidson again in Blue Springs.

He said he loved riding motorcycles and used to tune them up before he got sick. He said riding is one of the favorite things he's done in his life.

"Very good time, excellent time. Didn't expect to get this much attention. I didn't know this was all going to happen like this," Tierney said.

Outlaw Harley Davidson in Blue Springs helped make the ride possible. This was all part of Crossroads Hospice's "Gift of a Day" program.
