Congestive heart failure is one of the most common reasons for hospital admissions for senior citizens. In fact, over 5 million adults in the United States experience heart failure.
In 2012, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) began reducing Medicare payments for hospitals deemed to have excess readmissions for patients within 30 days. While readmission rates have dropped in the past five years, over 2500 hospitals still faced these penalties.

Coping with the loss of a loved one can lead a person through a spectrum of confusing emotions. These emotions can range from shock to anger to depression to guilt and beyond. While everyone grieves differently and experiences unique emotions, it is quite common to encounter at least some of these. When the person who has passed happened to be particularly close to the person in grief, feelings of loneliness and isolation can be among the most common.
