Cleveland Cavaliers Host Gameday Family Outing

Rose’s devotion to basketball has shaped a lifetime of family memories. The sport has always been at the center of her life, especially when her two very tall sons were growing up and excelling on their teams.

Both boys played basketball in high school. As a mom Rose was very involved and very proud of her sons. Then as they moved on from school and grew up, Rose continued her love of the game as a huge fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Gift of a Day is one of Crossroad Hospice & Palliative Care’s signature patient programs where memorable experiences, driven by individual interest, are created for patients and their families.

Thanks to the generosity of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Rose’s Gift of a Day was orchestrated around spending quality time with her family at a Sunday afternoon game against the Portland Trail Blazers. This brought her love for basketball full circle, creating an unforgettable experience for Rose and her family.

The Cavaliers also added a food bonus to each ticket for the family to enjoy snacks and refreshments while enjoying the game and each other’s company.

It was a win for the Cavaliers that day, as well as a win for the game of basketball and a huge win for one family with an enduring dedicated basketball fan.
