Love of Hamburgers Inspires Lunch Outing
Whataburger Rolls out the Red Carpet
Retired Minister Robbie McKenzie absolutely loves eating hamburgers. He’s crazy about them and has been for most of his 91 years. That’s why he chose an outing to Whataburger with his daughter Robin for his Gift of a Day.
His team at Crossroads collaborated with a community-minded manager at a nearby Whataburger to produce the perfect lunch outing for Robbie and Robin.
Whataburger prides itself on being much more than a burger chain. “It is a place that feels like home to more than 50,000 employees, called Family Members, and millions of customers.”
It all started more than 70 years ago when Texas entrepreneur Harmon Dobson was determined “to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold.” Back then and today, after just one bite, a customer can’t help exclaiming, “What a burger!”
Whataburger has been legendary for quite some. Today, with nearly 900 restaurants, Whataburger® still uses 100 percent pure, never-frozen beef which it serves on large, toasted five-inch buns.
Store managers serve as the face of Whataburger in their communities, connecting and creating relationships with local businesses like Crossroads. Robbie’s Whataburger store manager went above and beyond for him.
In addition to enjoying delicious hamburgers, all in attendance including Robbie, Robin and Robbie’s team at Crossroads received Whataburger memorabilia, making the burger lunch outing that much more memorable. What a Day to enjoy Whataburger®.
