Gift of a Day

We develop unique plans of care that include a Gift of a Day, our special program inspired by author Jim Stovall’s popular book “The Ultimate Gift.” Since its inception, we have helped thousands of hospice patients experience the perfect day. That day is based on the question: “If you had one perfect day, what would it look like?” Our staff members, volunteers and local businesses work together to bring these perfect days to life for our hospice patients.

Vintage Auto Club Founder Revels in Car Parade by his Home

Old cars. Good guys. Great times. That is the rallying cry of the West Central Missouri Vintage Auto Club. Fifty years ago in 1973, David Williams was one of the founders of the Club.

The retired Air Force aircraft mechanic deployed his mechanic skills at several local businesses including a popular Chevrolet dealership for many years before retiring a second time.

Still active with the Vintage Auto Club after all these years, David’s fellow Club founders and members threw him a colorful honorary Vintage Auto Parade by his home. Of course, David’s beautiful, shiny red 2006 Corvette was on display in his driveway.

The Car Parade was coordinated by David’s Crossroads in Kansas City care team. David’s sons Darren and Chad returned home for the special occasion and his girlfriend Kathy stood by his side for every minute of the special celebration that honored a gentleman who loves cars.
