Gift of a Day

We develop unique plans of care that include a Gift of a Day, our special program inspired by author Jim Stovall’s popular book “The Ultimate Gift.” Since its inception, we have helped thousands of hospice patients experience the perfect day. That day is based on the question: “If you had one perfect day, what would it look like?” Our staff members, volunteers and local businesses work together to bring these perfect days to life for our hospice patients.

Let it Be

A Lovely Trip to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Visitors from around the world flock to Cleveland to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame whose mission “celebrates the sound of youth culture and honors the artists whose music connects us all.”

Stephanie Gallina lived in Cleveland her whole life and was a big fan of rock music but had never visited the Rock Hall. That changed when Stephanie’s Crossroads in Cleveland end-of-life care team planned a Gift of a Day visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame where the immersive Beatles exhibit Get Back to Let it Be was being staged.

A complement to Peter Jackson's docuseries The Beatles: Get Back the exhibit featured the Beatles' most popular songs leading up to their 1969 breakup. Artifacts like Paul McCartney's suit, Ringo Starr's drum kit and John Lennon's denim jacket were some of the artifacts on display in the Exhibit.

The Beatles bring back a lot of memories for Stephanie. P.S. I Love You is the first Beatles’ song Stephanie can remember. She said her parents were “big hippies” and played the Beatles a lot at home. Stephanie’s personal top Beatles’ songs are Yellow Submarine and Let it Be. Her favorite album is Abbey Road.

But it wasn’t just music Stephanie was interested in seeing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. With a degree in fashion and an enduring passion for all things fashion, Stephanie was also excited about seeing the musicians’ costumes and performance accessories. With the glitter, the glitz and even the grunge, she wasn’t disappointed.
